Created for a U.S. Army installation in San Antonio, this custom geometric knight sculpture was designed as a bold symbolic centerpiece for the property.
The full-scale figure is constructed from individually formed metal panels, creating an angular armored appearance that naturally complements the knight concept. The sculpture includes a sword, custom shield, metallic silver finish, and gold accent details.
The shield was developed as an integral part of the commission, giving the sculpture a distinct identity tied specifically to its setting rather than functioning as a generic decorative piece.
Installed on a raised circular base within the landscaped grounds, the knight has a strong ceremonial presence and can be viewed clearly from multiple approaches. Its scale and upright posture allow the sculpture to function as both public artwork and a recognizable landmark within the installation.
This project demonstrates Buori’s ability to develop fully customized large-scale sculptures for military, institutional, corporate, and public environments where symbolism, durability, and visual impact are equally important.
