Shipping policy
Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
BUORI sculptures are handmade and many are produced to order. Because our products vary significantly in size, weight, finish, and destination, shipping and delivery arrangements may vary by order.
This policy explains how production, shipping, freight, delivery, tracking, damage claims, and related charges are handled.
1. Order Processing & Production
Many BUORI sculptures are made to order and are not available for immediate shipment.
Production time varies depending on:
- Sculpture
- Size
- Finish
- Customization
- Material availability
- Current production schedule
- Project-specific requirements
Estimated production times may be shown on the product page, order confirmation, quote, or other written communication from BUORI.
Production estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly confirmed in writing.
For custom or commissioned work, production begins according to the terms provided with the applicable quote or project approval.
2. Shipping & Delivery Costs
Shipping and delivery costs depend on factors including:
- Product dimensions
- Product weight
- Delivery destination
- Freight requirements
- Residential or commercial delivery
- Special handling
- White-glove delivery
- Placement or installation requirements
When available, shipping costs may be calculated during checkout.
For oversized sculptures, custom projects, or specialized deliveries, shipping may instead be quoted separately after the order or before final confirmation.
Any separately quoted freight, delivery, placement, or installation charges will be communicated to the customer before the applicable service is confirmed.
3. Shipping Methods
Depending on the sculpture and destination, BUORI may ship using:
- Parcel carriers
- Freight carriers
- LTL freight
- Dedicated delivery services
- Specialized art or furniture carriers
- White-glove delivery providers
BUORI determines the appropriate shipping method based on the size, weight, value, destination, and handling requirements of the sculpture.
4. Domestic Delivery
Transit time within the United States varies based on the carrier, destination, and type of delivery service.
Once an order has completed production and has been released for shipment, estimated transit information will be provided when available.
Typical carrier transit estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by freight scheduling, weather, location, holidays, or other conditions outside BUORI’s control.
5. International Delivery
International shipping may be available for certain orders and destinations.
Transit times vary considerably depending on:
- Destination country
- Carrier
- Customs processing
- Import requirements
- Shipment size
- Freight method
International delivery estimates are provided as estimates only.
Customers should contact BUORI before placing an international order if special delivery, customs, or import requirements apply.
6. Tracking Information
When tracking is available, customers will receive tracking or shipment information after the order has been dispatched.
For freight or specialized delivery services, tracking may consist of direct communication from BUORI, the freight carrier, or the delivery provider rather than a standard parcel-tracking link.
7. Delivery Scheduling
Large or freight-delivered sculptures may require an appointment.
The carrier or delivery provider may contact the customer directly to arrange a delivery date or delivery window.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate:
- Delivery address
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Access information
Failure to respond to scheduling requests may delay delivery and may result in storage, redelivery, or other carrier charges.
8. Delivery Address Changes
If you need to change the delivery address, contact BUORI as soon as possible.
Address changes may be possible before the shipment has been released to the carrier.
Once a shipment is in transit, address changes may not be possible and may result in additional carrier or freight charges.
BUORI is not responsible for additional costs caused by incorrect delivery information provided by the customer.
9. P.O. Boxes
Most BUORI sculptures cannot be delivered to P.O. boxes.
Oversized and freight shipments require a physical delivery address.
If a smaller product qualifies for postal delivery, availability will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
10. Military Addresses
Delivery to APO, FPO, or other military addresses may not be available for oversized sculptures or freight shipments.
Please contact BUORI before ordering if delivery to a military address is required.
11. Site Access
Customers are responsible for confirming that the sculpture can be delivered to the intended location.
Before placing an order, please consider:
- Doorway widths
- Hallways
- Stairways
- Elevators
- Gates
- Loading areas
- Driveway access
- Ceiling heights
- Installation access
- Ground conditions
- Equipment requirements
For large sculptures, we strongly recommend discussing site access with BUORI before ordering.
BUORI is not responsible for additional delivery, storage, return, or redelivery costs caused by insufficient access where accurate sculpture dimensions were provided.
12. Curbside, Freight & White-Glove Delivery
Delivery service levels may vary.
Standard Freight or Curbside Delivery
Standard freight may include delivery to the property or curbside only.
It may not include:
- Unpacking
- Moving the sculpture inside
- Placement
- Assembly
- Anchoring
- Installation
- Packaging removal
White-Glove Delivery
When available, white-glove service may include additional handling, placement, unpacking, or coordination.
The exact services included will be stated in the applicable quote or delivery arrangement.
Installation
Installation, anchoring, mounting, or site preparation is not included unless expressly stated in writing.
13. Inspection at Delivery
Customers should inspect the shipment carefully upon delivery.
Before discarding packaging, inspect:
- The exterior packaging
- Crate or pallet
- Protective materials
- Sculpture
- Components or accessories
If visible damage is present, take photographs immediately.
For freight shipments, visible damage should also be noted on the carrier's delivery receipt whenever possible.
14. Damage During Transit
If your sculpture arrives materially damaged, contact BUORI at:
Visible shipping damage should be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Please provide:
- Order number
- Delivery date
- Description of the damage
- Photographs of the sculpture
- Photographs of the packaging
- Photographs of any crate, pallet, carton, or freight damage
Please retain all packaging until BUORI completes its review.
Do not attempt to repair, refinish, alter, or dispose of a damaged item before receiving instructions from BUORI.
15. Concealed Damage
If damage is discovered after unpacking, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Provide photographs and a clear description of the issue.
BUORI will review the claim and determine the appropriate next steps.
16. Damaged Shipment Resolution
When a valid damage claim is approved, BUORI may provide an appropriate remedy depending on the circumstances.
This may include:
- Repair
- Refinishing
- Replacement components
- Replacement of the sculpture
- Freight coordination
- Partial refund
- Full refund
The appropriate resolution will depend on the nature and severity of the damage.
BUORI may repair or replace an item instead of issuing a refund when repair or replacement reasonably resolves the issue.
17. Lost Shipments
If a shipment appears to be lost in transit, BUORI will work with the applicable carrier to investigate.
A replacement or refund, where appropriate, may be issued after the carrier has completed its investigation and confirmed the shipment as lost.
18. Insurance
BUORI may insure shipments against loss or damage according to the terms and limitations of the applicable carrier or freight provider.
Customers must cooperate with reasonable documentation requirements needed to process a shipping claim.
19. Delivery Refusal
Do not refuse delivery unless there is significant visible damage or you have received instructions from BUORI to do so.
Refusing a shipment does not automatically qualify the order for a refund.
If delivery is refused without documented material damage or prior authorization, the customer may be responsible for:
- Return freight
- Storage
- Redelivery
- Handling
- Other carrier charges
20. Storage & Redelivery Charges
If delivery cannot be completed because the customer:
- Is unavailable
- Provides an incorrect address
- Fails to schedule delivery
- Does not provide adequate access
- Refuses an undamaged shipment
the carrier may charge storage, redelivery, or additional transportation fees.
These charges may be the responsibility of the customer.
21. Taxes, Duties & Import Fees
Applicable sales taxes are collected according to the requirements of the customer's destination and the rules of the applicable taxing authorities.
For international shipments, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, and other government fees may apply.
Where BUORI has specifically confirmed that duties or taxes are included in the order price, no additional payment for those included charges will be required.
Otherwise, the customer is responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges, or brokerage fees imposed by the destination country.
22. Cancellations
BUORI sculptures may enter production shortly after an order is confirmed.
If you need to request a cancellation, contact us immediately at:
Orders may generally be canceled only before production has begun.
Once fabrication, material preparation, finishing, customization, or other production work has started, cancellation may no longer be available.
Please review our Return, Cancellation & Damage Policy for complete cancellation terms.
23. Returns
BUORI does not accept returns for change of mind or preference.
Returns or other remedies are limited to circumstances described in our Return, Cancellation & Damage Policy, including qualifying material damage, manufacturing defects, or incorrect items.
Handmade variations and minor imperfections consistent with handcrafted metal fabrication are not considered shipping damage or product defects.
24. Delays
BUORI is not responsible for reasonable delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including:
- Carrier delays
- Severe weather
- Natural disasters
- Transportation disruptions
- Customs delays
- Labor disruptions
- Material shortages
- Government actions
- Other unforeseen events
If a significant delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to keep the customer informed.
