Return, Cancellation & Damage Policy

BUORI sculptures are handmade and produced to order. Because each piece is fabricated specifically for an order, all sales are considered final except in cases of material damage, manufacturing defect, or an incorrect item.

By placing an order with BUORI, you acknowledge and accept the handmade nature of our products, the production process, and the policies described below.

Returns

BUORI does not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, preference, size selection, color selection, finish selection, placement concerns, or other non-defect reasons.

Returns may only be considered when an item:

  • Arrives materially damaged
  • Contains a significant manufacturing defect
  • Is materially different from the item ordered
  • Does not reasonably conform to an approved custom specification

Any return must be authorized by BUORI before the item is shipped back.

Items returned without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Handmade Variations

Every BUORI sculpture is individually handcrafted.

Because of the nature of handmade metal fabrication and finishing, no two pieces are completely identical.

Minor variations may occur in areas such as:

  • Welds and seams
  • Surface texture
  • Panel alignment
  • Finish consistency
  • Color tone
  • Hand-finished details
  • Small marks associated with fabrication
  • Slight dimensional variation

These characteristics are a natural part of the handmade manufacturing process and are not considered defects.

Product photographs, finish samples, renderings, and digital images are intended to represent the general appearance of the sculpture. Lighting, photography, screen settings, material variation, and the finishing process may cause the completed piece to appear slightly different from photographs or digital representations.

Minor handmade variations do not qualify the item for return, replacement, or refund.

Custom Orders

Custom sculptures and customized versions of standard BUORI sculptures are final sale.

Custom orders may include, but are not limited to:

  • Custom dimensions
  • Custom colors
  • Custom finishes
  • Modified proportions
  • Modified designs
  • Personalized elements
  • Project-specific fabrication
  • Commissioned sculptures

Custom items are not returnable or exchangeable unless they arrive materially damaged, contain a significant manufacturing defect, or do not reasonably conform to the specifications approved for the order.

Order Cancellations

BUORI sculptures may enter production shortly after an order is confirmed.

If you wish to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at sales@buori.com.

An order may be canceled only if production has not begun.

Once fabrication, material preparation, finishing, customization, or other production work has started, the order cannot normally be canceled.

Custom orders, commissions, and project-specific work may be subject to separate cancellation terms provided before production begins.

Damaged Items

Please inspect your sculpture and its packaging immediately upon delivery.

If your order arrives with visible damage, photograph the packaging and sculpture before disposing of any materials.

Whenever possible, visible freight damage should also be noted with the delivery carrier at the time of delivery.

Please report visible shipping damage to BUORI within 48 hours of delivery.

Contact:

sales@buori.com

Include:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Delivery date
  • Description of the damage
  • Photographs of the sculpture
  • Photographs of the packaging
  • Photographs showing any damage to the crate, pallet, carton, or protective materials

Please keep all original packaging until BUORI has completed its review.

Failure to retain packaging may make it more difficult to process a freight or shipping claim.

Concealed Damage

Occasionally, damage may not be visible until the sculpture is unpacked.

If concealed shipping damage is discovered, contact BUORI as soon as reasonably possible after discovery and provide photographs and a description of the issue.

Do not attempt repairs, refinishing, modification, or disposal of the item before BUORI has reviewed the claim unless we instruct you otherwise.

Manufacturing Defects

If you believe your sculpture contains a significant manufacturing defect, contact us at sales@buori.com with photographs and a detailed description of the concern.

BUORI will review the issue to determine whether it represents a manufacturing defect or a normal characteristic of handmade fabrication.

Normal handmade variations, minor cosmetic differences, and characteristics described in the Handmade Variations section are not considered manufacturing defects.

Incorrect Items

If you receive a sculpture, size, finish, or configuration that is materially different from your confirmed order, contact BUORI promptly.

We will review the order documentation and determine the appropriate resolution.

Resolution of Approved Claims

If BUORI determines that an item is materially damaged, defective, or incorrect, we may provide an appropriate remedy depending on the circumstances.

Possible remedies may include:

  • Repair
  • Refinishing
  • Replacement components
  • Replacement of the sculpture
  • Freight or service coordination
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund

The appropriate resolution will depend on the nature and severity of the issue.

BUORI may choose to repair or replace an item rather than issue a refund when repair or replacement reasonably resolves the issue.

Refunds

If BUORI approves a refund, the refund will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Processing times may vary depending on your bank, credit card company, or payment provider.

Shipping, freight, delivery, installation, and other service charges may be non-refundable unless the refund results from an error by BUORI or otherwise required by applicable law.

Return Shipping

Do not ship a sculpture back to BUORI without written authorization.

If a return is approved, BUORI will provide instructions regarding packaging, freight, shipping, and the return destination.

Because many BUORI sculptures are oversized or heavy, returns may require specialized freight handling.

Unauthorized returns, improperly packaged returns, or items returned to an incorrect address may be refused.

Delivery Refusal

Refusing delivery does not automatically qualify an order for a refund.

If a shipment is refused without documented material shipping damage or prior authorization from BUORI, the customer may remain responsible for applicable shipping, freight, storage, redelivery, or return transportation costs.

If visible freight damage is present, document the damage before refusing or accepting the shipment whenever reasonably possible.

Dimensions and Site Access

Customers are responsible for reviewing product dimensions and confirming that the sculpture can be delivered, moved, and installed in the intended location.

Before ordering, please consider:

  • Doorway dimensions
  • Hallways
  • Elevators
  • Stairways
  • Gates
  • Loading areas
  • Installation access
  • Ground conditions
  • Placement area
  • Anchoring requirements

A sculpture generally cannot be returned because it does not fit through an access point or cannot be placed in the intended location when the published or approved dimensions were accurate.

For large or complex installations, contact BUORI before ordering so we can discuss delivery and placement requirements.

Outdoor Use

Some BUORI sculptures are designed for outdoor installation.

Outdoor exposure naturally subjects finishes and materials to environmental conditions including sunlight, moisture, temperature changes, pollution, salt, landscaping chemicals, and other elements.

Normal weathering, gradual finish changes, fading, surface changes, or wear resulting from environmental exposure are not considered shipping damage or manufacturing defects unless otherwise covered by a written BUORI warranty.

Customer Modifications

BUORI is not responsible for damage resulting from:

  • Improper installation
  • Improper anchoring
  • Unauthorized modification
  • Drilling or cutting
  • Repainting or refinishing
  • Improper cleaning
  • Impact or collision
  • Misuse
  • Improper storage
  • Moving or handling after delivery
  • Installation by an unqualified party

Alterations made without BUORI's written approval may affect warranty or claim eligibility.

Sale Items

Unless otherwise stated in writing, discounted, clearance, sample, display, or sale items are final sale and are not eligible for return except in cases of material damage, significant manufacturing defect, or an incorrect item.

Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Where applicable law provides rights or remedies beyond those described in this policy, those legal requirements will apply.
