Created for a private residence in Miami, this large-scale geometric gorilla sculpture was designed as a bold focal point within a modern high-rise interior.
The sculpture is constructed from individually formed metal panels, creating a strong faceted appearance while preserving the powerful stance and recognizable form of the gorilla.
Finished in vivid red, the piece introduces a dramatic contrast against the residence’s neutral interior palette, floor-to-ceiling windows, and expansive city views. The color and angular surfaces allow the sculpture to shift visually throughout the day as natural light moves through the space.
Positioned near the living area and balcony, the sculpture becomes part of both the interior composition and the surrounding Miami skyline. Its scale gives it a commanding presence without overpowering the room.
This project reflects Buori’s approach to private residential commissions: creating large-scale metal sculpture that feels integrated with the architecture, interior design, and personality of the space.
