Created for a private residence in Miami, this large-scale geometric gorilla sculpture was designed to make an impact both during the day and after dark.
The sculpture is built from faceted metal panels and finished in a vivid blue tone, giving the gorilla a bold contemporary appearance against the surrounding tropical landscape.
Integrated lighting transforms the piece at night. The illuminated lines trace the geometric structure of the sculpture, revealing the individual facets and creating a completely different visual character after sunset.
Its powerful stance and oversized proportions give the piece a commanding presence, while the lighting allows it to function almost like an architectural feature within the property.
Installed within a landscaped residential environment, the sculpture becomes both a daytime artwork and a nighttime landmark.
This project reflects Buori’s ability to combine large-scale metal fabrication, custom finishes, and integrated lighting to create private commissions designed specifically around the architecture and atmosphere of a property.
